CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - NEW

In light of the Coronavirus situation, we are currently unable to offer face-to-face or email advice.

However, we are running a local telephone advice service, which is available on 0300 303 4417 (calls charged at local rate) from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, Mondays to Wednesdays.

The main Citizens Advice website includes information and factsheets on a wide range of advice topics including the impact of Coronavirus on your personal circumstances  - see www.citizensadvice.org.uk

We will publicise any updates on our services on this website.

Please do all that you can to ensure you stay healthy and well during this time.

Beware of Coronavirus scams

We have been made aware of a growing number of scams surrounding the Coronavirus.

Many of these are centered  around the sale of face masks and  hand sanitiser which  once paid for, never arrives.

We urge that you only buy from trusted, reputable suppliers and sellers,  and if you feel that you are being pressed too hard by the salesperson to buy, or that the seller is playing upon your fears or emotions, or simply that  you are being  approached to buy something you just don't need, then say no, and under no circumstances should you ever hand over  your  bank details  to anyone you are unsure of.

Up For A Challenge ?  Why not consider a role at CA Broxbourne ?

Citizens Advice help people overcome their problems and campaign on big issues when their voices need to be heard.   We value diversity, champion equality, and challenge discrimination and harassment.   We’re here for everyone.

Citizens Advice Broxbourne has been serving the people of Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Hoddesdon and Waltham Cross for over 20 years. It provides a vital service for those facing a broad range of issues including housing, debt and financial management, family and welfare concerns and last year alone assisted over 3,000 people with 12,000 different problems. Part of the national Citizens Advice organisation, each local office is independently managed by its own Board of Trustees.

Working with us is challenging, exciting and rewarding and we would not be able to provide the service we do if it wasn't for the great team of volunteers to work with us.

If you are interested in joining please go to our volunteer section.
